Many of us have eaten this desserts known as a cake, but do we know how much time and effort is spend? Some of us may work in a cake shop, Walmart, Food Lion, etcetera, but have you put on a design or a 3-D art? Some where in Hoboken, New Jersey, the a pastry shop called Carlo's City Hall Bake Shop. The owner this shop is Bartolo Jr. “Buddy” Valastro, one of the most successful and renowned cake artists in the United States, and the star of the show called Cake Boss.
The show mainly follows Buddy Valastro and his family Mary Valastro (Buddy Valastro mother), along with her daughters, Grace, Maddalena, Mary, and Lisa as they operate their business, with a focus on how they make their cakes, along with family gatherings and celebrations. The Carlo’s has become a landmark establishment providing it’s customers what many say are the best tasting, highest quality wedding cakes, specialty cakes and baked goods in New Jersey. Every cake a customer order has its own individual’s needs and desires.
In Carlo's not all is sugar and everything nice because you can never expect a shop that perfect their something bound to happen. A misshape cakes, orders taken to the wrong places, parts not working or fallen off, etcetera, but they can fix this. There are even time when the employees fight or argue (mostly) with themselves or with other, being late, or some pranks. There will be a lot of drama and some comedy, but they do get the job done.
In conclusion, even if employees argue with each other or manage to ruin everything, yet they do manage to get along with some of them. I consider this as a good role model because it shows even if someone ruin a project their is some time to fix it. Also, shows how much effort if you put in your work even if your work with someone you hardly like will later be treated as a family member.
